PMS instance data entries can be shared across properties that use the same instance. When users have added a PMS instance, they can then select that instance as the way to connect to Yardi Voyager for any given property.

Sometimes, users may want to delete a PMS instance that’s being used to connect properties to data sources. Here’s a step-by-step guide for how to do that:

  1. Go to the ‘Admin: Connections: PMS Instances’ tab. Add a new PMS Instance that will replace the PMS Instance you want to delete, by clicking on the ‘Add PMS Instance’ button, filling out the form, and saving your new PMS Instance.
  2. Go to the ‘Admin: Connections: Property Data Connections tab. For each property using the old or incorrect PMS Instance you want to delete, select ‘edit’ from the contextual menu on the far right (click on the ‘…’)
  3. The ‘Add PMS Instance’ form will launch, showing the PMS Instance selection made previously.
  4. Change the PMS Instance selection by clicking on the drop-down list of PMS Instance names and selecting the new one you added as the first step above, or any other PMS Instance already entered, as appropriate.
  5. Select ‘Save’ in the form.
  6. Change the old or incorrect PMS instance to the new or different PMS Instance for every single property that was using the old or incorrect PMS instance, following steps 2-5 above.
  7. Once complete with step 6, go to the ‘Admin: Connections: PMS Instances’ tab. Delete the old or incorrect PMS Instance by selecting ‘delete’ from the contextual menu on the far right (click on the ‘…’).
  8. Done!
