  • Approaches challenges with a ‘get-stuff-done’ world view, creating solutions outside of the box (and outside the sprint workflow) when needed
  • Applies a tactical outlook on software development, balancing best practices with throughput in order to meet aggressive business goals
  • Advocates for reduced complexity, faster iterations and high-efficacy decisions
  • Continually assesses the technical resources needed to achieve company success

Technical Strategy

  • Defines preferred patterns, techniques, technologies and platform architecture
  • Directs evaluation and adoption of new solutions as required
  • Directs and implements technical aspects of company and product strategy, including privacy, security, and platform architecture
  • Provides engineers the latitude to grow and explore their technical curiosities
  • Mentors the Engineering team, providing guidance and facilitating skillset growth

Platform Development

  • Influences product vision and roadmap through regular input and feedback
  • Manages stakeholder expectations related to software development workflows
  • Shares engineering support hours with the CTO for rapid access to assistance
  • Helps the team identify dependencies, mitigate risk and remove blockers that arise
  • Provides regular reports regarding technical performance of the software
  • Ensures code quality, test coverage and updated documentation
  • Reviews and manages high-risk technical changes to the platform
  • Actively contributes to the Remarkably platform; this is a coding position
