When users land on the Channel Analysis page, the default view includes:

  1. Sources with budgeted expenses added, and
  2. Sources that generated traffic during the date range selected, but are missing budgeted and actual expenses

The Filter component allows users to view ONLY Sources with Budgeted Expenses, Actual Expenses, or Missing Expenses, which is useful for ‘apples-to-apples’ analysis of Source totals, averages, and rankings. It’s also a great way to understand, at a glance, expense entry status among all active Sources.

  • Sources with Budgeted Expenses are Sources that admin users have added budgeted expenses to via the Expenses feature. These Sources will appear in the Channel Analysis grid if the budgeted expense entry dates overlap with the date range selected (whether the Sources have generated traffic during the date range selected, or not).
  • Sources with Actual Expenses are Sources that admin users have manually added actual expenses to via the Expenses feature, OR Sources that the Remarkably platform has automatically added actual expenses for, based on budgeted expense values and information already added. These Sources will appear in the Channel Analysis grid if the actual expense entry dates overlap with the date range selected (whether the Sources have generated traffic during the date range selected, or not).
  • Sources with Missing Expenses are Sources that admin users haven’t added budgeted expenses  to via the Expenses feature. These Sources will appear in the Channel Analysis grid if they have generated traffic during the date range selected.

Rankings are based on the Sources visible in the grid. So, for example, if users choose to filter Sources by Expenses: ‘Budgeted Only’, then the Top 3 Sources Overall and Bottom 3 Sources Overall features will ONLY rank Sources with Budgeted Expenses.

Users can ‘Clear’ the filter to revert to the default view (Sources with Budgeted Expenses and Missing Expenses) at any time.
